Touch the Earth with the Heart ❤️

“When we walk, we can walk for our ancestors and future generations. Maybe they had to walk with sorrow; perhaps they were forced to march or migrate. When we walk freely, we are walking for them.”― Thich Nhat Hanh, How to Walk

Walking meditation is a beautiful practice. When we walk, we touch the earth. The earth holds us and we should honour its gifts.

I will be leading a walk and meditation in High Park with my friends from True North Insight on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1-3pm. This is our fourth walk together. Here are some details.

We are inviting all True North Insight (TNI) Toronto Community Members to participate in our Earth Day meditation offering.

We will be celebrating the Earth with a Walk and Meditation in High Park.

In honour of Earth Day, donations will be collected by the facilitators and shared with a non-profit environmental organization. The Toronto organizing team has selected Indigenous Climate Action https://www.indigenousclimateaction.com

ICA is an Indigenous-led organization guided by a diverse group of Indigenous knowledge keepers, water protectors and land defenders from communities and regions across the country.  We support their belief that Indigenous Peoples’ rights and knowledge systems are critical to developing solutions to the climate crisis and achieving climate justice.

(Also save June 1. We will be organizing another day-long retreat.  More details to come!)
